Yesterday, my boyfriend and I received a call from (P) - he had bought a ring for his girlfriend, (F)!!!  Image  They had been dating for 4 years and they are one of our favorite couples to hang out with.  I am genuinely excited for them and I''m soooo happy for (F).

Anyway, the reason (P) had called is because he had purchased the ring from out-of-state and was having it shipped.  And since (P) and (F) live together, he didn''t want them to deliver it to their house.

...so he is having it shipped to our apartment.  He didn''t even ask us first!  I guess he had to give the jeweler an address quickly, and he knew our address and trusted us enough to receive it.

The thing is, he really should have asked us first, because we live in an apartment building where the front office holds packages for us.  Usually, by the time we get home from work, the office is closed and we need to wait for the weekend to pick it up.

And since (P) wants the ring right away (who wouldn''t?), I will have to race home after work today to pick up the ring for him. 

Men!  Always thinking ahead...

(P.S. - is it bad that I''m tempted to open the box myself?  Of course I wouldn''t, but I''m so tempted!)
