Vanessa's looks like a huge asscher 3 stone-- but the pictures are really crappy and you can hardly see anything. Hopefully someone will be able to find good pictures of it.

Vanessa's ring from Nick Lachey. Terrible quality photo, but you get a good idea of the shape of the ring.

Does anyone have a picture of Rachel Campos-Duffy's wedding set? She's from one of the Real World's and is now a parenting expert and married Sean Duffy who was recently elected to Congress. A friend was at a rally of his awhile back in WI and Rachel was there and my friend said her wedding set was a huge blingy set. I'm trying to find pictures but in most of them she doesn't have any rings on at all! Thanks!

OMG! I love this thread!!!! Thanks everyone!! What sized stones do you guys think are in her eternity ring in these pics? I think I need one!!! Her e-ring setting is similar to mine so I think I could pull it off!!!!

Prince William and Kate Middleton are engaged. I know royals typically give colored stones, but Kate seems like a modern, diamond solitaire sort of girl, so I wonder what she received for a engagement ring.

Either way, I can't wait to see her ring!

It's been confirmed that William gave Kate his mother's sapphire and diamond engagement ring. Classic and what a sweet way to remember his mother.

How could anyone forget that ring?? I think it's an incredibly touching gesture that he gave Kate his mother's ring. For all the posts I've read on other sites that are very negative saying "I hope she has better luck with the ring that Diana did" why even go there? Totally unnecessary comments imo. As William said, it's a way to incorporate his mother in such an imporant occasion. Good luck to them both. They are both lovely! I've always loved that ring!!

Here are some up close and personal shots of Diana's/Kate's engagement ring. It looks like the ring's original yellow gold setting was changed to platinum or white gold.

Either way, this is beautiful and sentimental ring, and Kate's very lucky!

I just read that the original (and current) setting is 18k white gold. I was trying to find an clearer up close pic of it on Diana. I remember seeing pictures of Diana wearing it against her yellow gold band and wondering why she didn't go with a white gold band to match. Then I learned about the whole Welsh gold nugget reserved for the British royals wedding bands. Interesting stuff. I'm assuming that Kate will also have a welsh gold wedding band.

No, DearBuddha, the ring hasn't been altered since the time Diana, Princess of Wales last wore it. The sapphire and the diamonds were originally (are still are) set in 18 carat white gold.
