I sort of have a crush on this antique (?) Movado watch. It's solid 14k white gold with about .5ctw in diamonds (modern cut around the face, single cuts on the band). I've never really bought a pricey watch before...but I am tempted!

Any thoughts on what time era this watch was made in?
I'd also love any resources on caring for a manual watch as I've never had any that needed to be wound by hand.

Thanks!

Early to mid '60s, for sure. The style of the face is a dead giveaway. I have one engraved Christmas 1961 that is very similar.

You should look for watch repair people near you. It may need cleaning or other work, and you can't do that yourself ::)

i agree that this could have been produced in the early to mid 60s...but this style of watch was sold clear into the mid seventies, but was out dated by then because more modern chunky larger watch started to become popular for women about 1974 ish...i think its an elegant looking timepiece for dress occasions!
