re-set earrings?

Hi Everybody!

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

I have some diamond stud roughly 0.2ct each earrings, yellow gold 4 prong basket, and I''d like to have them re-set into white gold 3 prong martini style. Does anyone have a ball park figure for how much this should cost? I have a pair of sapphire earrings in martini settings and just love how you only see the stone, not the setting.

I would say anywhere from about $80 to $150 (depending on where you live).

I had a pair of .25 each stones that I almost reset and called and found one place charging $100.

Yeah. Gold is pretty expensive right now. Just FYI though rhodium plating in my area runs about $60

Hmmm, maybe I''ll just leave them alone--can''t see *too* much yellow gold anyway--and save the $ for some blingier studs!
