Hello everyone,

My girlfriend and I have started our engagement ring search. What started out as "I will love anything you get me!" has quickly changed into quite the hunt after I insisted she look around for what she likes and doesn't like. Neither of us like to settle, so we're not sure where to go from here.

She has NOT tried on anything. Her search has started as "I like this/I don't like this." The pattern is pretty clear: she likes custom, and she likes intricate. To be more specific, she likes Japanese designers.

Here are some examples:

There HAVE to be vendors and jewelry makers State-side that have the same talents in terms of intricate design - I'm just not sure where to start looking.

I'd appreciate any advice or suggestions on where we can get a similar end-product as the examples above - preferably in English.

Thank you!

I strongly encourage her to try out the rings if possible. What looks good in pictures does not always look good on our fingers. The Disney rings are best suited for very small centre diamond and most of the settings sit up very high, making it prone to snagging on clothes and getting banged around.
