Been quite confused about rose cut diamonds???

seems like there are a lot of different views on rose cuts. Was sold this piece of jewellery that claims to use rose cut diamonds in it...

can anyone verify?

Yes, indeed those are rose cuts - not faceted, which is likely what you were expecting.

They are also "upside down" compared to what many illustrations of rose cut diamonds show, i.e. a faceted dome with a flat surface underneath - what you have there is the flat surface, with the facets underneath.

Hard to say for sure..., but looks like Table cuts to me rather than Rose cuts...
