Does this sound big?

I''m really close to buying an antique semi mount with an 8x6 east west set oval. I really love dainty jewelery...I have .25 tcw diamond studs without any inclination to upgrade, 6-7mm pearls, a pair of pink diamond bezeled studs that are something like .08 carats, etc, but I am a pretty flexible person also. Would you call an 8x6 ''big?''

Oh I dont think so at all. I think it would be a lovely size :) Looking forward to pictures!

i don''t think it will be too big at all. you might check what depth stone it can carry as is, esp if you''re planning a colored stone, which tend to be much deeper than diamonds. If it''s not deep enough to accomodate your stone, you might need the head reworked.

It''s a lovely setting!

Wow, thanks Tali! That is definitely a good question. I will probably have to check it out once it gets here. I think I might start a thread on colored stones to see what they think.
