Hey.......Another 'uber' day. Frustrating day at work. Clients keep holding back, yet our managers are pushing hard for us to work harder. Like I have any more hours in the day to work more. Sorry, for ranting. I was just frustrated. I left work a little after 6 and went to the gym. Since I was frustrated, I was Soooooo tempted to just go home and be with Charlie and Sakai, but no. I made a promise to myself (and you all) that I would go to the gym tonight, so to the gym I went. And to be honest, I'm really glad I did. Sometimes I forget that the gym is the ONLY place I can go to where the frustrations of life just disappear and I do something good for me too. Tomorrow's Friday, so YAY, only Charlie has to work late tomorrow night, so no Friday night Sushi. I'm not sure what I'll do for dinner by myself, but I'll figure something out.

I'm sorry you're not feeling well lliang, but it sounds like you're doing better. Yummmm to homemade truffles!

Marcy, I'm glad you're enjoying your cake decorating class. Funny can be fun!! And I'm proud of you for not eating them. I hope you get in to see the dentist quickly. Thanksfor the good wishes for Sakai.......She's on my shoulder as I type this and doing well. You could have posted your cake here. I don't think anyone would mind

!

Hey Zoe.....I hope you're both doing OK. I know these are tough times.

Lorelei, she's on my shoulder as I type this and dear Sakai certainly thanks her Aunt across the pond very much!!

Ara Ann, good for you doing your stepping. Sorry your eye was irritated all day

DeeJay, only you could have the monsters terrorizing the waterfront in Chicago, while you're in a PT session! And, you were busted and now you have to run!!

Yay for a good tough workout Apple!

Hey there dear Skippy!. I hope you enjoyed being with the family.

K...enough from me. See you tomorrow night.

ETA: Tacori, we must have posted about the same time. Woo Hoo for cardio class three times!!

Hi everyone. This is going to be a quick post.I am tired and hope to get to bed on time.

We went out for a few drinks (I had one) with friends tonight so got home after 9.I have papers to grade then had to check out new posts in colored gems.

I am getting my tooth fixed in the morning.Yippee.

Zoe, that is nice to get a cake every week.I am sure it’s hard to resist sometimes.Every did like my cake at work today.

Hi Lorelei.

Ara Ann, sorry your eye was so irritated.Take it easy.

DeeJay, glad you got your dogs rounded up okay.

Appletini, good luck with your cleansing program.

Lliang, glad you are feeling better.A chocolate making class sounds fun.If I get tips on decorating the sides of cakes I will let you know.

Skippy, I hope your supper was a big success!

Tacori, glad to hear you had a great cardio class tonight.

Rod, glad you worked out some of your frustrations at the gym tonight.I am glad to hear Sakai was keeping you company while you were posting.I agree funny can be fun.We are having a blast. The teacher is kind of cranky and she seemed to be kind of taking over my stuff because I am not doing it just right. We were laughing about it today that I must be the “slow” student in the class.LOL.

Well, I am truly off to bed about 5 minutes early.Yippee!

Take care and have a great Friday.

Marcy

I didn''t know of I should post my own thread or just write it here so forgive me if I''m intruding!

I''m so excited! I''ve lost 7.8lbs!

AND... my jeans, size 5, that I always wear and have been snug on me for quite a while are actually pretty loose now! I was sitting here at work and I looked down and noticed all this extra slack in the front. I got up and started pulling at it and wow, I didn''t notice until today how much looser they''ve gotten!

Also, my stomach is MUCH flatter and the cellulite on my thighs is GONE! (Although, the fat is still there! haha).

But yay, PROGRESS!!

Hey, guys...have to be quick. Sitting here waiting on our new insurance agent to come out and take photos of our house. We had to switch because State Farm decided to drop EVERYONE in Florida because of all the hurricanes. So frustrating. Anyway, as soon as he leaves, I am headed to the gym. I''ve only been 2 times this week so far because I had a sore throat one day and then Andrew got it. We are both feeling better now, so I should be getting back on track for my normal workouts. Tomorrow I will workout extra hard because I am making Adam''s favorite pasta dish for dinner and it is not low-fat at all! Hope everyone has a great Valentine''s Day tomorrow!

I went to my TBT class and had a great workout...I was so sweaty I had to wash my hair afterwards. Tonight I''m going out for Mexican food with friends so according to my cleansing diet my choices will be ceviche or a salad. I am planning to do my walk/jog routine in the morning (weather permitting). We will be cooking a very delicious v-day dinner at home tomorrow night....but I''ll spare you the details so I won''t distract you from your HLT goals.

Nothing too exciting here; I got my allergy shots today. Hubby and I went and saw Coralina in 3D which was way cool! Well tomorrow I am going to go back to step aerobics, it has been 1 1/2 yr since I last did class because of my knees. I will try it out; if they start bothering then it is the treadmill.

The spaghetti dinner was fun. My hubby had the music turned up and Auntie (I) started dancing and the nephew joined in; he must think I am a nutball! He had such a great time we wanted to take hubby and I hope with him

Hey........it was a mixed day. Part good. Part stress. First, my medical issues have not been resolved after the lastes round of medicine. Earlier in the week, I saw a different doctor who referred me to specialist. If you recall, I was being treated for a fungal infection, which can be unusual in a healthy person. I was tested for virtually everything possible and my blood work was great. I was put on powerful drugs (topical and internal) and they made me sick. It''s one reason I skipped the gym a couple times over the last two weeks. The medicine I was on was just awful and made me nautious and gave me stomach pains, made me tired and cranky. So, today I saw a skin specialist who looked me over and decides in about 2 seconds that I''ve never had a fungal infection, that I should have never been put on such drastic drugs and asked if anyone in my family has or has had psoriasis, because that is what I have. So, I called my parents right there with the doctor waiting and it turns out that both my parents and my brother have psoriasis and it''s supposedly genetic. So, after almost 3 months of worrying what on earth was wrong with me, I just have a pretty common skin condition that will go away. One thing I learned, is that stress is a big catalyst for psoriasis and lord knows we''ve had anouth stress in our lives over the last couple years. Work was OK. Nothing great. Nothing bad. I didn''t leave till around 6:30. Charlie worked tonight, so I was on my own. And then it hit me. Rod wanted Pizza. So, I parked at Sbucks under the oak, walked down to a family owned Pizzaeria and ordered one with mushroom/pepperoni. I was just staved. I''ve not had a big appetite lately. Fear and worry are certainly a hunger killer. I almost ate an entire Pizza, all by myself. There were 2 pieces left, which are now in the freezer. Just around the corner is the natural tart frozen yogurt shop, so after pigging out on pizza, I then had some froyo with fresh strawberries. I ended my goodgasm with a nice cup of decaf under the oak. Man, do I ever plan to sleep tonight. Sorry for going on so long about this........thanks for listening.

Tomorrow''s Valentines day. Charlie''s off the entire weekend. We''ll go to the gym tomorrow, then tomorrow night we''ve been invited to some friends house for dinner. I think they''re grilling steaks out, which should be nice. We may go see a movie Sunday and have our Friday night Sushi on Sunday.

It''s kind of late and I''m really beat. I just need a really good night''s sleep. So, I''ll sign off and say hey to everyone. I hope everyone is looking forward to a nice weekend and Valentines day.

Sleep well everyone.......

Hi.

35.gif
What a day!I had one person out on vacation, another girl called in sick, the department floater is off as well and I spent 2 ½ hours at the dentist. My dentist is nice and competent but must be hard to work for because he is always training new people. His assistant was rough and mixed things up too thin so I sat there longer waiting for things to set.She caught something on my lip and gave me a fat lip inside.I have to get a crown because one fourth of my tooth is gone but at least I left with a temporary tooth in place.I stopped and bought some valentine cookies on the way back to work for my department and Marty’s department. When I got back to work I was 3 hours behind doing my work and the work for the girl who called in sick but I did get everything done about 30 minutes before I went home.I ate and enjoyed 3 cookies during the course of the day.
9.gif

The girl who called in sick has strep and since I still have a sore throat I guess I will get checked if my throat doesn’t get better.

We had a couple of inches of snow and had very icy roads coming home from work tonight and saw several accidents so we came home right after work.

After supper I tried making a few roses for my cake decorating class. The icing was left over from class so I add sugar to make it a stiff consistency and was able to make a few roses.

Inhisarms, you are always more than welcome to post here.Congratulations on losing almost 8 pounds and for your jeans being loose.

36.gif

Hi Lorelei.

Steph, how rotten to hear about State Farm doing that.We had a F4 tornado here and a bad flood here and I heard after both of them that people who made claims on either disaster with State Farm were dropped the next time they had to renew. That is very poor service.I am sure your pasta dinner will be marvelous.

Appletini, I am sure your Valentine dinner will be marvelous.

Skippy, good luck with step aerobics.I am sure your nephew had fun dancing with you.I feel okay but am still had a cold.My tooth feels much better now that I have a temporary tooth on it but my fat lips is getting my attention.

Rod, how awful they had you on such strong and miserable medicine for no reason.I am glad they figured out what is wrong and that you can easily deal with.I am glad you enjoyed some of your favorite food – pizza tonight. You certainly deserve it.I hope you sleep well tonight.

Well, take care and have a Very Happy Valentine’s Day!

HAPPY VALENTINES
emlove.gif

Step class was fine; I only used the platform no risers. I probably will get in a quick walk this afternoon. Hubby bought me some lily's and freesia (they smell so yummy) and we are going to my favorite brewery for lunch. I am dying to go see Slumdog Millionaires but no one wants to go with me. Anyone want to go with me to see it?
2.gif
Oh since I am super proud Auntie, I have to share, my nephew is officially potty trained, yay; I need to find him a present! hehe

Have a great day friends!!

MARCY, I am glad your tooth was fixed but I am so sorry about the dental assistant. I am sorry you need a crown too; sending you go thoughts for your tooth. I have my root canal on Monday; I don't like any teeth procedures so thinking of you honey! Good job on getting everything done and yay for maintaining. I think Maintaining is the hardest so kudos to you girl!

ROD, oh no, I am sorry about the medicine and glad the doctor finally figured it out, huge hugs sweetheart!!! Yippeeee for Charlie having the day off!!!

STEPH, your meal sounds super yummy! Did you and Andrew make Valentines cards? heehe

Happy VD kids!

I spent 65 mins on the dreadmill yesterday, 25 running, 40 walking. Honestly, it felt pretty good.
6.gif
Two hard sets of arms too. And today I did 30 mins on the elliptical but I finished up with 35 just walking on the dreadmill.

This morning--angel chorus please!--for the first time in... well... probably my entire adult life... the scale said a number that is actually LESS than the lie that I've been carrying around on my driver's license for the past 20 years. How crazy is that!

And I thought I wanted to lose another 9.5 lbs from this point but EVERY SINGLE PERSON that I know says that twill be too much, so I'm considering compromising at 4.5. We'll see.

Am at my office for the next 2.5 hours, and then I don't know what the evening will hold. Got a nice bunch of flowers from the adorable architect... but he's in DENVER...
39.gif
Oh well, at least I got the flowers!

Much love on this chilly VD to all!

Happy Valentine’s Day!I made homemade biscuits for us for breakfast then started my homework for cake decorating class.I baked chocolate cupcakes then mixed up the class icing but didn’t like the taste of it so put it up for using in class and mixed up some buttercreme icing. After that I made a batch of icing to try to make roses.Marty and I managed to make about 12 of them that are pretty good so I put them in the freezer because the cake we do next week needs about 8 roses on it.I got better as I went along. Then I decided to try to make another type of flower that we are doing this week but that one didn’t turn out too well.I spent about 5 hours in the kitchen today between cooking, practicing and loading and unloading the dishwasher.I still have my sweats on and haven’t even put on makeup yet.We have reservations in an hour but it’s cold, snowy and icy so maybe we will order pizza.

I gave Marty the greatest Valentine’s card.On the cover it said “Happy Valentine’s Day to my husband, the Pro Golfer”.On the inside it said “From your wife, the Supermodel”.He thought it was funny.

Skippy, I am so sorry you have to have a root canal.I guess I missed that; I knew you were going in Monday to see about it.I guess it slipped off my radar since I was sick that day.I am with you; I hate going to the dentist. The reason I went for the crown is because they said with as big of a filling as this tooth would need it would continue to break and have to be worked on again.I am sending you hugs and lots of good luck dust with your root canal on Monday.Yippee for your nephew being officially potty trained.I agree maintaining is hard.As long as my pants fit okay I know I am doing fine; it they get snug then I eat very carefully again.I am trying not to obsess about weighing every day.I am glad to hear you got some lovely flowers.

Steph, Happy Valentine’s Day to you as well.I am sure your dinner tonight will be great.

DeeJay, LOL at weighing less than the weight on your driver’s license.I need to renew mine and I will for the first time ever not lie about my weight.Glad you got some gorgeous flowers.

Have a great day.

Happy Sunday kids!

Got up at 6:30 to work out because I had a 9 am inspection. Ack! Did a HARD hour on the hampster wheel. Tomorrow is my usual Monday PT.

Oh, and that number on the scale that was below my driver''s license weight -- LIE!!! This morning the scale took back all the good things it had said to me yesterday. Damn I hate it when it does that!

Off to another showing. See you later!

Hey.....Sorry I missed checking in yesterday. Happy Valentines Day a day late. Yesterday was just plain busy for us. It was a beautiful day in Tampa, so we were able to have breakfast on the terrace. Then we had lunch at our Saturday diner, then coffee under the oak. FInally we hit the gym around 2 PM and we had our usual ''uber'' workout, which was extra good, especially since Charlie was there with me and we could do some things together. Last night was had been invited to our friends house for dinner. They really went overboard on food. Grilled steaks, salmon, artichokes, grilled vegetables, baked potatoes, salad, break, sauteed mushrooms and chocolate cake for dessert. Oy, we had to try everything since they cooked all this food, but man did we ever have indigestion over night. We don''t eat like that as you all know. We wound up watching the Aviator with Leonardo DiCaprio. It was a good move, but I had no idea it was a 3 hour movie. Good, but just too long. We didn''t home till well after midnight. Today was a really relaxing day. Since we''d eaten so much last night, we just had coffee and bowl of fruit for breakfast. We had a small lunch at Panera, then coffee under the oak. We had decided we would actually go to a movie this afternoon, and we saw Slumdog Millionaire. What an incredible movie. It truly deserves all the praise it''s gotten. Dinner tonight was our Friday night Sushi on Sunday! We''re nothaving sushi tomorrow night. Charlie''s working late, so I''m just off for the night on my own.

Marcy, I''m sorry the visit to the dentist was such an ordeal. Your''e probably right that your dentist must be hard to work for. The staff at my dentist''s office hasn''t changed in years. Maybe you should come here for your dental work. Our dentist is the sweetest most gentle man ever. I hope you don''t wind up with strep. Yumm to homemade biscuits. The card you gave Marty was funny!

Thanks Skippy. In just a couple days the right medicine is making a difference. It will take a few weeks for the medicine to work, but I can see some definite improvement. I hope you get to see Slumdog Millionaire, even if you have to go by yourself. It''s simply an amazing phenomenal film to say the least. I''m glad you had a nice Valentines Day!

Steph.......I meant to comment on the State Farm thing. I hope you move from them and drop all their policies as soon as possible. We don''t have them for anything, but I think what they''re doing is criminal and they don''t desserve a single dime from anyone in the State of Florida. Happy V day to you too!

Hey DeeJay and apple!

I hope you all had a nice Sunday and the coming week is good.

Hi everyone!

35.gif
I hope you had a great day.

This morning I made pancakes for breakfast then went grocery shopping. After taking care of all our food we went to Barnes and Noble, Michaels, to visit grandma and ate lunch at Olive Garden.

I made a list of what I need for cake decorating class on Wednesday and decided to buy the tubes of colored icings this week instead of making about 8 different colors of icing. We are decorating the top of cupcakes so I don’t need much of anyone color so I would rather buy assorted tubes than spend a few hours messing up my kitchen making them.I also figured out which tip I would use for each color, bought a few extra tips so I don’t have to keep switching them and cleaning them during class. Then I sorted the tips and colors in bags so I am all ready for class.Hopefully that will make the class a little more organized for me.

Marty is contemplating buying a new PC to put together. His Dell is pretty dated.By buying the pieces and parts it is about $700 less than buying one put together already. He is funny pacing around trying to decide if he wants to buy it or not.

DeeJay, I hate those lying, conniving scales.

29.gif
Yesterday it slipped up and let reality through, just ignore what it said today.Good luck with your showing today.

Appletini, glad you made it out for a walk today.

Skippy, that is nice you went for a walk with your friend today.Sadly, it is tax time again.I have ours mostly figured up.We enjoyed our pizza while setting on our couch. That is living, huh?

Rod, your friends fixed quite a spread for you at dinner yesterday.Probably a good thing you let it digest for a 3 hour movie. We were talking about going to a movie yesterday but since we stayed home we just watched a movie here.I always talk about switching dentists but just don’t.I keep finding sore spots in my gum around where they were working.Marty must like the card too because he has it setting up by his computer.

Well, I must go grade papers.Rats for tomorrow being Monday already.

Laters,

Marcy

I was just thinking, Lorelei always starts us out but I always seem to finish us up for the week. Sweet Dreams to one and all in HLT Land.
36.gif

I just ordered a sweater from Land’s End.I got a 20% off email good for today and tomorrow and the sweater was on sale.Yippee!I haven’t bought any new clothes for over a month. It’s making me nervous.LOL. Yes, I do have room for it; I keep all my warm sweaters in a big storage bin and I know one more will fit in there. I won''t even have to figure out something to give away.

9.gif

Marty just ordered in pieces and parts to put a new computer together. He will be so excited to have a PC that can play all the new games.Every time he has bought a game lately it won''t work on his PC. The one he has is probably about 6 years old.

Have a great Monday! I will chat with you in next week''s thread.
