I''m feeling quite greedy this year and so I have a list of sparklies that I''d quite like to own. Here it is, in no particular order:
a full diamond eternity band (from signed pieces) a yellow gold solitaire diamond pendant a pair of diamond stud earrings Any one of the above would be very nice. In practice, I''ll probably save up myself to buy one of them and hope that my dh will give me one of the others for my birthday and wedding anniversary. Well, I can live in hopes anyway. ![]() |

I''m just getting started so I''m hoping to pick up some basics: shared prong eternity band, diamond studs, and semi-bezel set solitaire pendant.
I''m guessing I''ll get the eternity band (can''t get married without a wedding band ![]() ) but the others will have to wait for 2006. Good luck with your goals, everyone!

One of my goals is an eternity band from Facets like the following. I''d like the diamonds to be little and the tcw to be around .5 to .75.
I''m not sure about what else I''d like just yet. Still thinking. I was going to upgrade my eng. ring but changed my mind for sentimental reasons, so my more recent plan is to buy a H&A around .75 and have this made into a RHR. I''d also like some dangle-style diamond earrings with slightly larger stones than I have now. . .maybe .8 tcw. We''ll see! I''ll have to wait for my anniversary in June regardless of what my goals are since my first priority is finding rugs to cover our hardwood floors

a 1.75-2ct, E-F, Vs1-Vs2, cushion cut diamond for my 26th birthday. =) (I can dream, right?)
What I probably will get is: 1.25ctw 3-stone pear drop dangle earrings. .35ct scroll basket set pear attached to .17 and .10 round filligree bezel set diamonds. smaller round in the middle. a .90ct-.99ct Pear diamond. Preferably F-H, VS2-SI1. |

What I didn't mention is that I'd love to create a RHR as well....but I'm torn on what to use...and I don't think it will happen THIS year unless I somehow win the lotto.
![]() For a RHR, I would love a 3 stone ring with a .80c RB center and .40c RB sides in a custom LM or similar basket claow 6 prong setting. BUT I would also love a 2c Asscher in a very delicate turn of the century pave type filigree setting. OR...I also have tried on my 10 stone ring flanked by two very thin eternity bands which looks fabulous because it looks as though it's all one ring when they sit flush against each other..and I could mix and match. Decisions decisions. It's a good thing I won't be making that one this year!! Michelle, don't you hate when pesky household priorities get in the way of diamond bauble purchases? Sheesh! |

You are all making me salivate over here!! The funny thing is, I''m so not a collector...BUT, if I must give you my goals.....
2 ct studs, a 1 ct pendant and a 3 ct cushion....that''s *all*...not asking too much am I? ![]() Of course, I''ll need to start sending out resumes. Wonder how street walking pays these days LOL |

It depends on which street!

LOL!! That is SOOO my goal this year! But if that doesn''t work, I will have to console myself by buying an RHR -- maybe with diamonds and/or rubies and/or red spinels. I really don''t know, I keep changing my mind! I was planning to buy an RHR in 2004 but thanks to reading Pricescope non-stop I ended up buying a diamond solitaire pendant from Whiteflash instead. Oops! ![]() |

To find a great , well-cut 2.0 ct -ish oval for an antique/vintage type "RHR".
This will probably have to be *it* for many years. When I find the right oval, I want a simple but ''old world'' mounting. I like this style in the photo, imagining diamond in place of the aquamarine. I have zero Photoshop skillz, so it''s a visualization exercise. I also like the rings at the ''wannabuyawatch'' website. I''m even looking at plat and WG since I''ve noticed that some of the designs in YG(I love YG) can look a bit cheesy for some reason. I have a tri-color bangle bracelet from Morocco(honeymoon) that I wear constantly, so maybe that can be the bridge between the metal colors? ![]() Happy New Year!

hmmm..... Goals..... How about wishes -- goals sounds too definitive this year.
1. reset my e-ring (maybe -- I have to decide what I want it to turn into...) 2. right hand ring -- maybe an east/west emerald cut 3. pear drop jackets (the ones I oggled were $65+K, so it most likely won't be those ) or some other kind of diamond drop. 4. signed pieces eternity ring -- just have to quit changing my mind there. 5. recycle or update some of my existing pieces to make them more fun What I don't get done this year might turn into a 20th anniversary gift in 2006. ![]() F&I: it's time to just bite that bullet and pierce those ears! Just think of the fun you could have . |

Sevens One, I have those pave huggies in yellow gold. They are great earrings. I'm thinking of dipping mine since I think the white gold would look even better and I have too much yellow gold.
Oh MMM, while I was trying on drops I tried some 4cttw cushion cut drops that were to die for! Wouldn't that make a great addition to your growing family? |

Thank you Nan! I had seen a sale of items that ended on the 31st, but I didn't see the new one on eternity bands. Wow, if you wear a size 6, you have a lot of choices! I like this one in my size (5), and they have one of all princess stones in a 5.25 that's pretty. I wonder how this would look with my 3 stone? I'm not sure of all sapphires. I like a mix of sapphires and diamonds. Anyway, if you ask my husband, I have NO diamond goals for 2005. Just diamond fatasies, lol.

Lop, Be careful with the "dipping". I decided I wanted a few of my things that were set in 14k yellow gold to appear "white" and at the jewelers suggestion..."Oh, go ahead and rhodium plate them, and that will do the trick without re-setting" Well, for me this has been a disaster, as after only a few weeks the rhodium wears in spots and the yellow gold shows through. I know some people only have to have items re-plated once a year, but I guess my skin reacts differently and just eats away the rhodium. |
