So many interesting folks on here, and I know many of you are supposed to be working...wink wink nudge nudge...

You don''t to be specific, but I''m always curious as to what kind of folks are gathered in online communities (I also belong to a babycenter.com group for December 2004 birth mommies..but we moved to a private MSN site).

I''m a former telecommunications marketing product manager (I know...whatever the hell that is..LOL) turned Stay at home mom to 16 month old Jake, infrequent content writer for a group of oncologists, and yoga teacher.

I am director of sales for a company whose name you would all recognize (although I work for a small division of this company). I have the wonderful luxury of working from home, and I LOVE it!

Some days are more productive than others. I have two message boards I am a part of, and I just leave them running in the background all day when I work. Since I don''t have coworkers near me, I find it a nice way to have interaction with others, without gabbing on the phone and being entirely unproductive!

Somedays are so busy I have zero time to catch my breath.

I''m also a lawyer, and I don''t feel a bit "girly" for being on here.

Not that I have anything against learning more about the fairer sex (heaven knows I still have very much to learn and doubt I will ever be successful at it), and they are MUCH fairer if you check out the photos or meet them in person,

, but I''m here for the diamonds/gems and the incredible knowledge resource this board provides. The great people here are just an added bonus.

I surround myself with hundreds of thousands of dollars.... none of them mine, though... I''m just responsible for them. I''m the Head Teller at a bank, and part-time student (sociology major). It feels cool (but scary) at times to have the authority that I do now (I started as a sales/service rep) but I can''t wait til FI gets his Phd next year and gets a REAL job like me so I can go back to school and take it easy for a whille (But I was the one who chose the break from school to get a full-time job, the grass is always greener...)

I transfered to a slower office so I get a little time to PS now but I quckly minimize/cancel the evidence when the boss comes ''round...

I used to have an "office job" too and coached on the side, but the birth of my first son 8 years ago made this my "full-time" job (part time weird hours-- early early mornings and a couple of afternoons). Most importantly is being mother of 3 boys, 2 who are in school and the youngest (3) gets to be home with me during the day

I''m a State Policy Advisor for the U.S. Department of Justice in DC. Supposedly this means I manage criminal justice grants and policy to the great state of California.

Hardly a loser! An old friend of mine was a suburban carrier (he walked) and he loved his job.

Well,
I am a Stay at home mom- sort of.

We own a campground/resort in Southern Canada and since we live right on the property, I work while taking care of our kids.

It is a great situation because we are only open from May-October and we both can work and be with our 2 little boys. In fact we took them on their first little fishing trip yesterday and I caught the biggest one!! hahaaa

We consider ourselves very blessed to be 26 yrs old and owning our own hriving business. I guess it is best to get in to such huge debt when we are this young rather than wait until we are older!! haha

I am a busy mom of 9 kids, with 7 of them still living at home--2 girls, 7 sons. I own a local flower shop that my son, 23, manages and I do occasional deliveries, especially now with Mother''s Day. My mother''s day will be delayed for a week...

...part of owning a flower shop I guess. I also am in charge of grocery shopping(Oh wow!), cooking most dinners and delegating chores and dinner time cooking to my sons so they can survive---should I die while out running errands, taking kids to basketball and dance. My husband depends on me to run our home and sometimes answer his business line(he owns 2 self owned businesses that we run from home) if he is away doing his consulting job which mostly pays our bills.

Oh, I have recently acquired the new title of party/reception/open house planner for our son''s upcoming wedding. I am currently in the process of making nearly 100 favors for this event on June 3rd...

...So I am a tad busy I guess...and looney...

Honestly- heaing about the variety in each person's life is a lot more interesting that just your jobs. Here's more about me-
My bachelor's degree is in music (I have played violin and electric bass professionally off and on for many years)
I am a CPA (got the 2nd bachelors after the music degree)
I now work in an IT setting that draws on my accounting skills, but is much more systems oriented. I love logic! I love blending creativity with logic and analysis.

I was a single Mom for most of my daughter's childhood.
I got married just as she went off to college and it has been an absolutley PROFOUND adjustment for me.
I am still dizzy from it all.

But I love my new husband and his awesome kids are around a lot. That helps. I sorta got me an instant family (including a step-cat!) and that is a blessing.

Back in school again! My bachelors and masters are both in Psychology, and now I''m back working towards licensure. My internship this fall-spring is in a college counseling center, and I am SO looking forward to it. I also work part-time doing marketing/advertising for my father''s businesses, and will be helping open a new bookstore at the beginning of next year. Which should coincide nicely with wedding-planning, finishing grad school, and about a zillion other things!!

But I''ve learned (after a few years working at full-time 8-5 type jobs) I really am happiest when I''ve got variety and control over my own schedule.
