Quarter-life crisis might be as subtle as dropping out of career, becoming hedonistic and spending not saving, deciding not to marry long-term girlfriend after all, because she''s looking so ''mature'' these days.
Mid-life crisis... well, I guess it''s kind made of the same kind of stuff! ![]() Crises come when you spend more time worrying about what you missed out on, rather than enjoying what you''ve got. |

I like to think that when my Hubby gets symptomatic he will insist on taking me to a wonderful getaway spa to have lots of medical miricles bestowed upon me.
Then he will take me to beautiful clothing stores to dress up my new youthful figure and give me lots of diamond jewelery, of course! THEN, he will take me out to fancy dinners because he feels like a kid again with me on his arm!!![]() |

Mostly a mid-life crisis to me would be where a person wants to explore new avenues in life or feels their life will not be complete until they make specific changes, such as running away to France and drinking wine or possibly, instead, joining a cult.
![]() I''ve read that it''s common for a woman in her 30s to have a crisis. I can relate since now that my kids are in school, I''m basically starting a new life from scratch and do not know where to begin. That doesn''t mean disatisfaction, but just a bit of confusion as where to go from here. Luckily I''m not a fan of corvettes so that isn''t my idea of "a change." |

Lara is WISE. When I think quarter-life crisis, I think of my many acquaintances who are deciding that that goal that they''ve been working for for the duration of their entire adult life? Yeah, no, they''d really rather do that other thing - and it doesn''t matter if it goes lawyer -> poet, or poet -> lawyer. |

DF, with the MAJOR exception of the cheating (and the lesser exception of the driving), that''s considered de rigeur for stereotypical femininity! Being a women = constant crisis? I guess that explains how the magazines keep selling .... |

I''d say that quarter-life crisis revolves around money/career and mid-life crises revolves around femininity/masculinity (too much or too little!)
This of course, is only from seeing others go through them. I will NEVER drive a fast red convertible. It would completely wreck my hair and I look better in pink. btw-LOL lorelei!! |

Hmm, think I better have an early mid-life crisis then! Sounds like fun! Perhaps I''ll ease into it by going blonde!
