DH and I are in the process of booking our honeymoon- yay!
In April we are doing a 7 day Southern Caribbean cruise followed by a 7 night stay at a Couples resort in Jamaica.

We are going through our travel agent at AAA, and to get travel insurance through them for our trip
is about $20/day, slightly more for DH (they base it on age)
That is for all parts of our trip- airfare, cruise and resort stay

We are considering shopping around, but I know nothing about travel insurance.
There are sites online, but how do we know who/which is reputable?
Is something like this also available through our homeowners insurance?

All I do know is we want some type of security- this vacation is a lot of money for us.

Any input is appreciated- thanks!

I would think AAA is reputable, but read the fine print.

There are a couple of reputable insurance agents out there for travel, but the names escape me. I''d have to look it up, as the only time I bought TI was for a Mexico resort trip. I *think* I may have used TravelEx.

A quick travel forum search brought up this website:

http://www.insuremytrip.com/faqs-1000-0-0-43.html

On the bottom of that page, lists a bunch of insurance providers. I guess insuremytrip.com is a great way to compare quotes.
