SoCal Ladies Recommend your Salon/hair stylist

Specifically in San Gabriel Valley. SIL is looking fora new hair stylist that can do cut and color. Appreciate your help!

I love my lady. She's in El Monte. Kathy of Silver Scissors. I get my hair shampooed, cut, and styled for $15. The costs for dying is pretty decent, too, but I have a feeling that hair dye works differently on different ethnicity's hair whereas cuts are uniform regardless of ethnicity? Anyway.. she works great on Asian hair, and my half Asian hair.

Kathy is also one of the sweetest ladies I've ever used. My hair just DOES NOT grow, so I rarely see her. I go maybe 2-3x a year for bang trims and cuts. She always remembers me and talks to me as if I've just seen her yesterday.

Thanks Madelise! Like you, I get a haircut 2-3x a yr so I'm the wrong person to ask. But $15 is a great deal. The lady that does my hair (shampoo, cut and blow dry) charges me $80. I'll have to try Kathy next time.
