Do you mean this engagement or the one before??
![]() Ah, well..the engagement before we were young and dumb about diamonds. It was .50ct pear. NO idea what the stats were on it. I honestly can''t remember if it even sparkled..I know it came from the "maul" though. But I loved it. Gave it back when I ended it.This go ''round I''ve not had an upgrade and probably never will. He''s just that way. Although I did get an ''OK'' to search for a RH diamond. Yay! So, it is and always will be (and I am NOT complaining one bit!) a 1.25ct RB solitaire in a Tiffany style four prong setting, h, vs1 and absolutely blinding . That''s the basics of it.

I love it, too, thank you. I do not wear it at present. I actually wear nothing except a plain gold wedding band and a Timex watch on most days. On other days I put in a pair of earrings just to keep the holes from closing. I would wear the engagement ring regularly if it fit my hand and my current size. I had it made smaller and larger and smaller as I lost and gained and lost weight. Eventually I called a halt to that. Now it is a 5 1/2 and my ring finger is a 6. If I lose weight and become a 5 1/2 ring finger again, I will wear it; if I do not, it just won''t be worn. I think that when I am large, the ring looks too small for me anyway. So that''s a reason to lose weight! I became engaged when I was 25, in January of 1977. I was married in March of 1977, at 26. Deb :-) |
