How do I change the avatar next to my name so it is not so generic?

Click on the Personal Section tab above, then scroll down and make sure "use custom avatar" is checked. Then scroll down further and right above all of the generic ones is a click here to upload a photo. Just make sure that you have a photo with square dimensions and you''re all set!
