A friend and I are planning a spa weekend. She lives in SF and I'm in Reno, so we want something somewhere between those points. Napa seems like an obvious choice. We are looking for somewhere not crazy expensive (one place I found was $1400/night...for that much money, Channing Tatum better come with the room).
We will both be pregnant so there will be no wine tasting. Hell, we can't even do mud baths or mineral spas. We talked about avoiding Napa/Wine country (why pay the premium if we can't enjoy the wine?), but it is the most logical location, geographically speaking.
Any recommendations? Our main goals are relaxation and doing nothing. We will probably both get a massage or facial or something. We want comfy beds and the feeling of being pampered.
I know northern CA so well, having lived there for most of my life, but I've never done more than a drive through of Napa. Sad, but true.
