Well I was trying to learn photoshop on my own, and this picture did NOT turn out at all what I wanted... But I thought it looked kind of funny so I thought I'd post it for a laugh. I don't know how to paste something from one picture to another and keep the proportions right.

I don't think I need a diamond this big....

it's hard to explain, but i will try to help.

is your picture in two layers? (one layer being hands, the other being diamond?)

Well, I don''t really know. Not being patient or having a lot of time, all I did was take two pictures - both with rings on a hand - and cut the diamond including prongs out of one and tried to paste it on top of the other. It worked except as you see, the sizes were incompatible. But I haven''t read up on "layers" yet...

It kind of reminds me of when ''door-knob solitaire'' first explained her screen name, and someone put a picture of an old glass-doorknob on a hand.

under window/show layers.

then click on the layer with the cut-out diamond.
then click on the move tool (black arrow with black cross-top right tool).
go to top horizontal toolbar and check "show bounding box"= this gives you a box around your object.
this box can be used to manipulate the size of the object.
hold down the "shift" key while resizing object if you want to maintain the objects original proportions.
