GIA Ex and AGS ideal should sell better than lower cut quality and for a better price.

Yes, I'm referring to well cut XXX/ideal stones.

Since you dont say if the stones in question would be recent purchases or from long ago, I will say that I think one should take the retail price the stone would be today and then apply the non-retail adjustment of their choice. If one purchased the stone 15 years ago, and paid retail that was presumably meaningfully less than today's retail on a matching stone. I would not take the adjustment downward from the original retail, but from the current retail.
