I like it that you think this, because I think so, too. I think they are all really nice people in actuality. Politics can create a monster persona that we blame a lot of stuff on, but in reality, I think Bush and Obama and their wives have a real kindness and sincerity as human beings.

I actually didn't mind the green shoes - they insert a little 'Michelle' into the outfit. You know, the unexpected from the matchy matchy uniform. The green gloves however wrong. I would have went with the yellow gold or even white because the inside lining of her jacket was white.

On the other hand, Cindy McCain's penchant for rhinestone encrusted patriotism was once again

I went home to watch it on television. That was the best lunch hour of my lifetime

Yes, very sad. I was honestly surprised that Kennedy was even able to be there, though, so I am glad he made it through the inauguration itself. The news is saying he is stable, so I hope that is true.
