If I had 20K for a diamond camera - infinite focus.

I saw these guys at a conference a couple of months ago and their photos are beautiful!

The image processing software takes care of the depth of field problems faced at high magnification

Check out the video posted here https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/macropod/macropod-revealing-the-world-unseen
Their website is a bit cruddy: http://www.macroscopicsolutions.com/blog.php

$20k ish for the setup and for every 10 they sell, one setup gets donated to a school.

Can you imagine how cool our sparklies would look? :sun:

Vendors: Better pics? :naughty:

Cool, but you don't need $20K to get 'infinite focus'.

Photoshop, for $699 IIRC, does what's called focus stacking.
You take as many macro pics as you want, each focused at a different plane of the object.
Then Photoshop digitally 'glues' them together for astonishing depth of field.

AFAIK, Photoshop does not do the 3D thing.
I do not have Photoshop.
