Sweetpea is very sick, I am very worried. I can only hope I become the quality of a man as he is a dog.

And in a totally random, awkward segue...

my computer is so hot that my fingertips are burning as I type. That can't be good.

Thank you for your kind hopes and concerns over Sweetpea.

He has damaged his neck in the past and hurt himself again. This time it was much worse. He lost a lot of control of his rear legs and wouldn't put weight on his left front. That happened last Friday night. After being treated by two different vets and his condition only getting worse we were able to get him in to the vet that is treating one of our other dogs for cancer. He is doing much better now. He may not get back all the control he use to have but he is home, eating, walking and in little pain. That makes me a very grateful man.

Joe, so glad Sweetpea is doing better. I hope he continues to improve and recovers all (or at least most) of his movement.

I've done it! I've written a letter to someone who badly betrayed me, telling them in no uncertain terms exactly how I feel. I have tried to forget about this person for the past year and tried to rise above it and move on, but they thought it was a good idea to get in touch again - why? To keep me dangling on a string? So at last I wrote to the person telling them my feelings, how much they had meant to me but that they had betrayed me, and that I can never trust them again. At last, I've said it! Maybe now I'll be able to move on. They should have just left things well alone. I have expressed myself at last, after a year of holding back! Yay!

Holy smokes!!! It's been unbearably hot here all summer, but it's been in the 90s, not over 100! Yesterday and today were so nice and "cool"... Only 83. Such a relief! Hope you get some relief soon too!

Oh, and I say "summer" because it's warm here year-round, but hot through September/October.

This is terrible for me to talk about, but I just can't stop thinking about it. I recently found out that my ex got divorced after less than TWO MONTHS of marriage--that's like a celebrity wedding! I feel sorry for his ex-wife because I know it wasn't her choice and she didn't do anything wrong. I don't know anyone who's been divorced after less than a few years of marriage. Two months seems like he made zero effort to make it work!

I purchased a pendant on eBay that used to be a ring. It's a great size and pretty much covers my finger but I was concerned of the durability of the band once It was changed in back into a ring. So, I just decided to wear it on a short choker style necklace and I really like the look.

Anywho, I went on a casino cruise with my inlaws. I'm waiting in line to wash my hands in the restroom and the lady in front of me turned around and grabbed my pendant. Surprisingly, I wasn't terribly upset about it, probably because she had just washed her hands. She went on to say that her mother had a pendant very similar to mine and she lost it. She then said she finally found a similar ring at a pawn shop and had it turned into pendant and gave it to her mom, who loved it. As she left she chucked and said that when her mom passes it will then be hers to wear. So I smiled back and wished her luck.

I must say, I have admired plenty of pieces of jewelry worn by others, but I would never invade their personal space and touch them. IDK, maybe it's just me but I do kinda find it annoying sometimes. Especially when you take the time to clean your diamond so I looks it's best and someone just comes along and puts theirs fingers right on it. Maybe it's just their way but her standing their holding my pendant and holding up the line of this tiny bathroom, made me feel uncomfortable and the lady behind me was mortified. She gave me this look when the lady left, that me laughing for a good while afterwards.

I think that grabbing a piece of jewelry you're wearing is incredibly rude and weird, CharmedOne, especially by a stranger. If I saw someone's hands coming for my neck, I'd automatically raise my hands to defend myself, I think, as I wouldn't know what they were doing. Sounds like that lady was an insensitive person who has no idea of manners or social cues. I've never heard of anyone randomly grabbing someone's jewelry before, unless they were trying to steal it. Obviously the lady in the line behind you wasn't impressed, either! I'd file it under "Random weirdo"!

Let's see a photo of the pendant! :appl:

Charmed One...do you think there might have been alcohol involved? People tend to forget boundaries after a few drinks.

BTW...have you posted any pics in SMTB thread?

Jambalaya, you post made me laugh [emoji4] LOL. My spouse said the same thing. I guess it just shocked me so much that I just let it go.

tyty333, you are so right! Alcohol could have definitely been a factor. People do sometimes lose their inhibitions after a few drinks. Now that I think about it, I'm certain that was the case. [emoji5]

This is the pendant. I hope it didn't come out too big. It's a little over an 1 1/4 inch tall, 3/4 inch wide and a bit over a 1/2 inch at the deepest part.

Charmed One, Your photo is beautiful. The pendant is gorgeous. I would have also loved it as a ring. I would have been uncomfortable with some touching my jewelery. I have had women grab my hand to look at my ring. It has happened in shopping malls often.... Maybe I just spend too much time in Malls!

Thank you so much Calliecake! You are just as bad at me [emoji4] I spend way too much time there myself but grabbing you hand is way too much. They are so lucky you didn't have an instant reflex to smack them for grabbing on you!

I am so sorry Hay Joe. Sweetpea was a very fortunate dog to have you and your family as you were to have her in your life. I am so sorry for your loss and pain and I know you will miss her forever. Take comfort in all that you gave her and know she loved you. She is at peace now at Rainbow Bridge playing with all our furbabies that are there. (((Hugs))) to you and your family.
