I am getting bored out of my skull

wow, 5 months? I did that once when my husband went to the middle east for 6 months, it was so weird to see him walk away and it was really weird to have him come back... I'll be thinking of you! I hope your reunion is peaceful and blissful

5 months??? Holy cow Danny! The longest JD's ever been away is like 7 or 8 days, 3 times when he went on trips w/my dad. I can't imagine 5 whole months. (Or 6 months Cehra!) Glad he's coming home today Danny-what a nice present!

Thanks! It was a choice between take this great job or both live in the streets so we chose the former. I won't lie and say it's easy but there are worse things and I will be moving in a few months.

That's why I took an extra ativan. Shh! Don't tell anyone.

I should be able to leave in not much more than an hour. Wow, what a long week.

Danny - Glad to read you'll have a relaxed and wonderful reunion with your SO! My DH was gone for approx. 2.5 months and it was a VERY long amount of time....can't imagine 5 months! Ativan wouldn't have been enough for me at that point. lol

I'm so excited for you! My husband and I are long-distance, and the longest we've gone without seeing each other is about 3 months. We're in the middle of a longer stretch...we last saw each other mid-November, won't be seeing each other over the holidays, and the next time will be mid-February if all works out as planned (mid-March if not). It's not optimal, but you learn to deal with it.

Yes, and when you're relationship is strong, it's something it can survive. It's not easy. It just is what it is. In our case, if it weren't for the economy, it wouldn't have been necessary. But you do what you have to do.

Long time! DH and I have had a distance relationship for long parts of our 10 years together. Not easy at all. Have a great reunion and a very happy Christmas!

LOLOLOL!

I want to thank you all for your good wishes. I picked him up in the evening of the 24th and just got back from taking him to the airport.

It was great fun to have Christmas Eve and Christmas together after five months apart!

He and I and the cat were happy and relaxed... wow.... you appreciate the time when you haven't spent much time together.

Danny - glad you and your SO were able to spend Christmas together!

She was a little bit leery of SO for about 20 minutes but then she totally forgave him for being gone and was as sweet with him as could be. She insisted on sleeping on top of him.

She was even good today when I got back and didn't have him with me. I thought she's be mad or sad or something like that but she's fine.

She won't get another bath for at least another month. lol

So glad you got to spend a cozy Christmas eve and Christmas with your kitty and your SO Imdanny!
