Emoties That We NEED Around Here

Seriously, I think we need a dust emotie, since we're always sending dust and best wishes to PSer's in need.

I also think we need a hugs emotie, so we can send each other some love and encouragement.

What emoties do you think we need, or is that about it?

Seriously, I do agree with the dust and hugs - good idea. We are a very nurturing and supportive group, nice if we had more of those types of emoticons.

I think it was a google site a friend had sent me via email, that showed how to create a whack of pictograms ... if I can find it, I'll post it... but not sure I even kept it! (stupid move, enerchi)

There is a dust emotie. And there are lots of drinking emoties. Check out Skippy's emoticon's thread sticky.

Smilie short cuts for hugs and dust would he nice though. I miss the dancing banana.

I used to use emoties a lot before we got PS version 2. Now I can't get them to work which is sad. Some of them are great fun. I wish I knew where I was going wrong.

Hi everyone,

Emoticons work if you right click, save the URL, and then just paste into your post using the button that has the diamond in the post box for an image.

For example:

So your link should look like this, putting the link inside the brackets:

Then it works like this:

okay so go to the emoticon you want. Then right click and select - "save image as URL"
then past it in this thread but put
the brackets with img and then the save image as URL and then brackets with /img (it won't let me write it like Ella though so that might sound confusing) look where she shows the brackets up at her post

then do the bracket thing (Ella shows) in your post and then paste between the img brackets

Yes, follow Skippy's directions. Prior to hitting submit your emoticon section should look like this below (without the code part, JUST the link), with the URL of the emoticon in the middle. This also works the same way with photos hosted on PS.

I don't understand any of that either.

Isn't there a way that the PS web guy can just take out some of the lesser-used emoties and plug in some new ones that we need? Some of the frownies and surprised faces are pretty much duplicates of the same emotion.

Why have two for the same feeling?

follow what she posted. don't worry about the select all code. The computer system won't let me show the bracket with img like Ella posted.

do you use a mouse? right click or on your laptop right click and instead of copy, click on "copy to url" then come to the post you are going to write, use the bracket img then paste and / bracket img, then when you submit your post there is your img. look at Ella's last post. don't pay attention to select all code.

hey, just copy the above so you get the idea DF. don't pay attention to code select all.

then you see this when you paste after submitting ==>

instead of the http://www.pricescope.com/idealbb/files/manybounce.gif (you delete that and paste between the img brackets for the emtoicon you want to use) that is the easiest way.


just a side note. The Diamond insert wasn't working for me so I couldn't get that to work (it could be user error, error on my part).
