I'm so sorry to read this, my sisters are my best friends too so I know how devastating this must be for you. Will be crossing my fingers and toes and I am sure that given what you have told us she will be fine. Sending you huge buckets of dust and some hugs.

Thank you, Lottie. It is such a shock that I find I have a hard time talking about it. She isn't outwardly sick, if you know what I mean? Anyhow, we are all just trying to be supportive and loving with her during this difficult time. I am just really scared.

I'm not surprised, at 34 this must have been the last thing you were all expecting. I'm sure you will all get each other through this and come out of it even stronger but don't forget that just because its not happening to you, it doesn't mean that you don't also need lots of love and support too. Give yourself time for it to sink in, its a big shock. |

oh my! sphenequeen, my biggest shipment of DUST is coming your way! that is heartbreaking to hear that phrase at such a young age. 34 is WAY too young for such a diagnosis, yet the big C doesn't pick and choose. Sad to say, but a reason we all must be cautious and be aware of our health and any changes we experience.
I hope there are supports and family supports available to you and your sister/family, in the area you live in. Once the shock settles a bit, please link up with groups that can assist you thru this time. DUST...DUST...DUST! |

I'm sorting out my BEST dust for your sister, Sphenequeen. It's a horrible jolt, I know, have been through it with family. Takes a little while to sink in. Keep heart, though -- she's doing exactly the right things, finding it early & being aggressive against it. Her chances of being around to rock on the porch with little old gray-haired you are excellent. We're here for you in the meantime. I have to get back to my dust sorter.

Sending you love and dust accross the oceans. You must be so scared for her. I have been there with my best friend so I know how you feel.
The diagnosis coming so early makes it easier to treat. Take strength in that! We are here whenever you need us.

Sphenequeen, I can only imagine how you are feeling right now. As everyone else has said, treatment has come so far and it sounds like your sister has an excellent prognosis. However, that doesn't take away the fear and uncertainty you are feeling right now. I am sending dust, healing vibes, positive thoughts, and prayers to your sister and your entire family. Take good care of yourself so you can be the rock that you want to be for your sister.

To Everyone -
Thank you for all of the positive vibes. I will let you know how she progresses. Her surgery is scheduled for May 8th, but she has several appointments before then. I get to spend tomorrow with her as we celebrate my birthday and get ready for the birth of my son in a few weeks! This is what I mean by her being my best friend. I just love her so much... |

Dust. I feel she's doing the right thing. My aunt didn't elect to do that and her death certificate says, "metasizized breast and colon cancer". I can't be sure cancer from the breast spread to the colon but it is what I believe. Hugs.
