Can''t get subscribe to work... help!

Does anyone subscribe to threads successfully? I have been trying to subscribe to threads I want to be updated on and they never show up in the subscription definitions no do I get any e-mails. I''m not sure what I am doing wrong, if there''s a setting that I''m somehow overlooking. Using Firefox 3.6.3 to access most of the time. Can anyone help? Thanks.

When I subscribe, I do get this message:

Your subscription preferences have been saved. They will go into effect immediately. You will begin to receive new content as soon as new content it posted to the bulletin board.

But when I go to the personal section and look at track content, subscription definitions, I get:

No records found!

This also happens on IE.
