The baby names thread somehow reminded me of my Cabbage Patch Kid from 1982. I guess some of the baby names kind of had the same "ring" to my doll's name. What was your CPK's name? Who knows, maybe it would make a great baby name for another pricescoper.

My doll's name was Caroline Addy.

I had a red-headed one named Colette!

I also had a preemie named Nigel. My brother had one too, but I made fun of it. That''s what he gets for being mean to me!

This thread is funny because last night DH and I were talking about Big Wheels, and how my brother broke the Smurf head off mine. Did you guys have Big Wheels?

I also had a ton of pound puppies, CBS!

Mela, I had the my little pony stable thing you could carry around. Ahhhh. 80s/90s.

Awww I wish I could remember my first one''s name. But I did get a "Pretty Crimp- N-Curl" CPD when I was older and more into dolls and she was my favorite. I actually called her "Pretty Crimp-N-Curl" too and never gave her a name!

My boy cousin had a boy doll named Xavier. I don''t know if it was a Birth Certificate name or one he made up, but as the first "boy" doll in the family Xavier was pretty legendary!

Oh HOW I loved those dolls! I had three. Laure Leila had brown hair, Aimee Renee was a blonde, and Joshua (I don''t recall his middle name) was a bald baby.

Santa left one for DD a few years ago. Her name is Alienne Ella.

I love the smell of them! I sniff DD''s doll whenever I see it...I know...I''m nutz!

I named mine Michelle. T''s came with a horrible name. I want to send away for a new one but it is hard since she barely talks yet. They are currently selling their 25th anni dolls (if anyone is interested). Once they are sold out they will go back to their new design.

OMG I think my sister owned stock in them when we were kids. SERIOUSLY. She had SEVERAL.
I think I had 2. Can''t remember their names to save my life though.

Just a little bit of useless trivia for you on how they get their names.

My friend in school went to the plant in Georgia where were made and the tour groups get to pick out the names. Apparentley it''s set up like a delivery room or something and at the end the groups make up the names.

( or at least this is what she told me...she did have pics)

This sounds so evil but I remember how my grandmother gave each of her three grandchildren (me, my sister, my cousin) a CPK and none of us had the slightest interest in them before we got them. We of coursed pretended to adore them and they sort of grew on us .... but it's funny -- I had seen all the parents going crazy to buy them and couldn't understand the fuss.

Mine had red braids and green eyes and her name was Leena Renata. And I do remember her smell! And I'll think of her name at the most random times!
