I got some pretty little treasures this past week from Rough 2 Refined....
Such a pleasure to work with Cathy!!!
I wanted to start a little collection to go with my faceted stones.
Anyway, here are a couple of my new treats !!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, it just occurred to me, the purpose in taking these photos outdoors was
to try to capture the stones in bright sunlight if I could.....
It's kind of tough to do!
The rough is really rich and saturated indoors !!!!!!
But I wanted to see it with sun streaming through
I am going to keep trying to take good pictures, hopefully my skill improves a bit

Are you kidding? I post so much that I think everyone is barfing from all my photos. Glad you're having fun. Take more photos of the chrysoberyl (for me?? please?? ).

It's a really easy camera to use (in sunlight), and it's a bit more challenging in artificial light, but it gets the job done.

Oh thank you Shiney, you are too kind. Did you ever see Chrono's chrysoberyl? That's a beauty as well, and it has all those minty sparkles. It's a trillion.

I just ordered a pair of chrysoberyl rounds from Tan, and they're well cut, but I'm not expecting them to be the same color as my cushion. I want to use them as potential side stones as I do love the color, luster, and durability of chrysoberyl. It's such an underappreciated gem.

Chrono, Thank You !!! I got the idea of searching Rough 2 Refined from VapidLapid, I looked around their site
and got the idea to start a little collection, and I LOVE THEM!!!!!
They are yummy, I like the smallness of them, actually

I do like the inclusions, they are all sugar. You don't see them IRL.... I had no idea there were little spots on those leaves though!
That camera is pretty amazing

I post a lot of photos on PS, and why do I do it, well

1) I'm obnoxious
2) I find that it's hard to find good photos representative of certain colored gems on the net. Many vendors (not all) often photoshop and do not take pictures representative of the stone in it's true color.

I think PS has an awesome photographic database, and regardless of how many of us feel, I am glad it's here for us to view. I often go back in the archives and search for particular stones I want to see examples of all the time. They're very helpful and educational, so go take more pictures!!! You're benefiting the lurkers and masses out there that want to learn more!

Actually, I really value all of the pictures here, too
It is where I get my inspiration and I also do a lot of learning.

I have a few files of pictures of stones and settings that I save and go through from time to time.
Everyone has something to offer, we should all share
