My DH bought this ring for me many years ago and I cannot remember what the jeweler said it was. It has a band of clear between two bands of nice green. Tourmaline maybe? The sides are white sapphire I believe and the thing has a huge window when tilted! Thanks for any help!

A little hard to answer from the photo, but the most likely answer, as you've already concluded, is tourmaline.

hard to tell from a photo......could be tourmaline but AU and Montana sapphires are often "zoned" such as this.

Could be part of a goshenite/aqua beryl crystal where the two separated. However, it could be tourmaline as well.
