What do you think of these stone options for a pendant?

I bought these earrings last year, seen at https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/im-looking-for-citrine-earrings.163210/#post-3140981#p3140981 (vendor photos at the top and my actual earrings lower down

I want to make a pendant to match also bezel set in yellow gold, on a long ball/dog tag type chain. Similar to this yellow diamond pendant from tiffany's.

Here's my wish list for the citrine:

similar color (antique gold/pale tangerine irl- I don't see any brown or yellow in them but the saturation is pretty low)
similar L:W ratio (earrings are just under 2:1)
quite flat in depth (a flattened pear to match earrings/allow the bezel to fit around the outside)
checkerboard faceting somewhere on the stone
around 20x10 in size
budget less than $100

Here are some options I've found

I like the look of the AJs one the best out of those, but it could just be the photography. Plus, it's over budget, and if it's too deep, it might do more flipping on your neck (what would the back of the pendant look like? Sorry, I just realized I don't know if the metal in a bezel always goes across the back of the stone too, or just around the sides). I would think that since citrine is quite common, it should be relatively easy (I might be wrong) to find exactly what you're looking for (i.e. no holes, etc.). Have you been looking long?

I like the first one from AJS best but it's over budget and agree iwth NKOTB, if it's too deep, that will just keep spinning on your neck and all you will see is its backside!

fiddle-sticks, I mean to make hyper links of the above links to the stones. The text is there to cut and paste tho, two of the stones have videos.

NKOTB & Deia: The back would be totally open, I want the bezel to be just around the edge, like a border around the edge, to make it more lightweight and match the earrings. Regarding the depth I think I would rather it be flat-ish/skinny as its a nicer shape. Some of the more traditional faceted stones will have a "bottom" that sticks out and will make it flip round-thank you for bringing that up as I hadn't considered that and it would annoy me! It won't matter so much on the briolette type ones though as the bezel will go around the middle with fairly equal citrine both front and back. Both sides will also look the same.

If anyone can suggest a supplier that might have what I want I'd love to hear about it. I'm finding that because citrines are not very expensive it is difficult to find "nice" stones. Cheap citrine beads with 10 facets total are pretty wide spread.

The ajs pear is a lovely shape but appears to have some colour zoning in the photo which I think can be quite common with citrine. The colour of the pair of drilled ones is quite nice but as others have said, it should be "relatively" easy to find a nice one since they are quite plentiful. Don't know if $100 will do it though.

I've done some pretty extensive googling and the above is the best of what I can find. If anyone can suggest something better or another place I should be looking/contacting please shot.

I could up the budget for the perfect stone but it would need to be worth it.

Thanks Starzin, to be honest if the cutting was top notch it wouldn't be in my price range. Also I'd say the cutting on my earrings are "fair", nothing more. I found this one at AJS:
5-http://www.ajsgem.com/quartz/citrine/citrine-14.33-carats.html

How does this rate with the others?

I though I would have tons of options are its a citrine but I can only find 5 possibles!

And for the setting:
I tried to contact Daniel M to get a quote for the pendant but apparently he's on holiday. So I'll have to wait.
Anyone else I should get a quote from?

First off, I LOVE that you said "fiddlesticks!" I haven't heard that in forever.

Second, and to the point, are you ever near gems shows like Intergem? The reason I ask is that citrine is really easy to find and faceted briolettes seem everywhere. It would definitely be worth a trip to scout around if you had the time and the inclination. Just a thought.

I could be mistaken but the citrine candidates you are considering all have a pointed culet? Will the culet poking your skin be an issue since you plan to have it set in a collet set style? On a smaller stone, it probably wouldn't matter due to the weight but the skin prick might be more noticeable with a larger stone.

Chrono, good point, I had assumed that not. That most would be the same front and back. But I will double check.

1- sent email to ask
2- the back is photographed and whilst it has a pointed culet, its so "U" shaped and round at the back, there isn't much of a point. Quite a flat stone.
3- rounded/same front and back
4- the back is photographed and whilst it has a pointed culet, its so "U" shaped and round at the back, there isn't much of a point. Much deeper than 2 tho, so flipping would be an issue with this one.
5- sent email to ask

No 5 looks quite nice to me but Chrono has a point (forgive the pun). I remember another thread where the setting you have in mind was too uncomfortable to wear because of the point. You're addressing that with emails so it shouldn't be a problem. However my concern would be that without a basket to rest flat on your skin, the stone will flip because the culet will be rolling on your skin as you move.

Chrono & Starzin> you do make a good point and I will heed it, I would much prefer a checkerboard faceted front and back stone, like a squashed briolette. I just need to find one.....

I found this setting at Daniel M on etsy and was thinking this would match well if it was yellow gold and a citrine in the place of the amethyst.
