Purple Spinel Arrived!

O.M.G. I am totally blown away!

This arrived yesterday from Rick Martin:


It is everything he promised an more. I will try to get my own photos tomorrow but for now I see lush grape purple with no extinction. In indirect sunlight and indoors I see rose pink flashes too. So pretty!

Highly recommend Art Cut Gems - very happy with this purchase. Only sad part is there is a teensy chip on the girdle but I assume must be from my own clumsy handling - think I can cover it and prevent any future chips with the setting.

I can't wait to send this baby to Daniel M for a white gold bezal with yellow gold split shank.

Actually I think you might be right.... Chip may have already been there, but thankfully it's so tiny I only noticed it with the loupe. Yesterday I was like "Darn I just opened it 5 minutes ago and I already chipped it!"
