pink sapphire eternity band as e ring/wedding ring?

Have you looked into ID Jewelry?  They have several pink sapphire options and they can also make one for you.  I think their prices are reasonable and you could find several options under 1k. 

I really love this band by them.  I'm not sure if it is the look you are going for but I would switch the emerald cut dimaonds out for pink sapphires- which I believe would also bring the price down from $875- well within your budget.  Then if you wanted to down the line you can add in more sapphire/ diamond stackers and that would be a really great look!  I believe there is another PSer who has a pink sapphire/ diamond stack as her wedding set and I love it.  I will see if I can find a picture.

In terms of quality, you want to make sure that all stones sit securely in their settings, that there are no damaged prongs or stones that...wiggle. You want stones to be as good of a match as possible in terms of color, brilliance, clarity and of course size. You also might ask if the stones have undergone any treatments, cause that usually brings the price down. Asking if they''re natural goes without saying, if that information is not provided anywhere. You also should stay away from rings that seem to be too lightweight for their size, by comparing them to similar ones. Anything that lacks suficient material is asking for trouble and is not worth the savings in cost. Determining wether a store is reputable or not is a more difficult task, and the only thing you can do about that is do your research (online, ask people you know...). Folks on this forum have been buying from all kinds of vendors, so they might have some useful info about them - so feel free to ask. Always check return policies, so that you don''t end up obligated to buy something you don''t like, or think is not of a good enough quality.
