Marlow - HGBV Diamonds

I assume this one must be an HGBV - given the telltales in the GIA study and article from which the reference photographs of inclusions are taken (http://www.gia.edu/cs/Satellite?blo...entFile&blobwhere=1355958135583&ssbinary=true).



I'm surprised this stone made it through the cutting and polishing process. It looks like it has a fossil inside!

The diamond you post - remember the pink oval in the middle and the left and right these are HGBVs

If you have a HGBV check fluor. and phosphorescence - both yellow.

Also interesting if you have gray diamonds from Argyle mine.

"Maleficent" is a HGBV too!

The marquise is mine, I knew it was included but never saw the inclusions up close until recent. I will eventually send it to GIA. It is interesting about some blues conducting electricity and some not. Sadly I do not have a UV light to test my stones with. Can you recommend a good one that is affordable?

UV LW - cheap but very good - please use protective Glasses - 3M offers a yellow one - 3M EN 166 FT

Buy the recharable battery too!!


I bought it on a mineral show!!! A special dealer for UV mineral !!

The people on amazon used it for detecting stains of their cats !!

You can use it in a hotel too - or better not
