Great color! Medium sized window though. 9.73 x 8.57 x 6.13 mm

A bit darker color. This stone faces up smaller than the one above, but is over a carat larger. So it's cut too deep, but not windowed. 9.34 x 9.29 x 7.99

A LOT darker. Almost black in real life I'd bet. On top of that, a medium/large window from being cut too shallow 10.38 x 10.33 x 5.46

Same problems as directly above. 9.82 x 8.85 x 5.13

Based on the above, I'd go for number two because it has the least problems. I would absolutely discount 3 and 4 unless you're looking for a dark navy blue stone with big cut issues.

Was this one too light? Too elongated? Something else?

11.41 x 9.09 x 7.75

This looks beautiful, but it's only 4.79cts. I'd ask what kind of heat, since it says heated. 8.8 x 8.9 x 6.9

What is the purpose for the stone? Ring? Necklace? Does it have to be unheated? Whats the ideal color you're looking for? Seems like the budget for the stone is +/- $30k. You've found some decent stones, but I think you might be able to do even better, but it might take a while since you're looking for a big stone. If you're wanting unheated, that complicates things a little further.

Good luck!

I'd email Dana Reynolds at Mastercut Gems and see what he can find - he's been posting some truly enviable sapphires recently and might well be able to find you something really special. Good luck!

AJS's stones are typically not as saturated when viewed in person. Expect this one to be a little darker and a little less intense than shown. Overall a decent looking sapphire with a medium sized window (area where light leaks through and you'll see either your hand or the setting underneath).

Rather strong looking Maltese cross in the centre. Colour is also nice, possibly better than AJS. The only issue is face up size. Due to the 86% depth, this 6 carat stone looks like a 4 carat sapphire.

Definitely not recommended. Flat as a pancake, lifeless, overly dark with a large window.

My suggestions:
I'd have either your local jeweller or any vendor of choice contact Pala for pricing.

4.77 carats measuring 9.5 x 7.91 x 6.98 mm, unheated Sri Lankan sapphire with a GRS memo.

Kashmir Blue is also a vendor with a good selection. I would contact them to find out if there's anything that meets your requirements.

Thank you for your replies! We will definitely look into the avenues you suggested and will be patient to find the right stone...

We are looking for the stone for an e-ring. We love this design and will likely work with Steven Kirsch to personalize itinspiration_0.png
