I''ve never posted a ring or jewellery here before, but I have something to share! This is a "star sapphire" ring of my mother''s (someday mine ... it looks so pretty on me! haha.) It''s an amazing ring - in low light it''s just a blue colour but in direct sunlight or even a lamp, camera flash etc it gets this amazing star burst pattern in it, the center of which moves depending on when the light source is.

Taken with a flash. This one shows how the star pattern moves around, the centre of it can be in different places.

The star burst pattern! Taken with a flash. It can be very strong sometimes, like in this picture, or much paler in diffuse light.
