Thought I'd add Art Nouveau's scrumptions padparadscha ring.
![]() ![]() It is a certified 4.32 ct natural untreated padparadscha sapphire from Sri Lanka, set in a simple Tiffany style mounting with round diamonds ~1.36 cts around the center stone. Ok how about something a little different. This is a 21 carat Oregon sunstone one of a kind carving by Michael Dyber set in an 18k yellow and rose gold setting.

Hey folks ... I hope there isn''t a policy against posting a file with a groovy frame ... I''m up early and had some spare time on my hands !
These rings represent my ring taste in the 90''s ... lots of YG, diamonds, and tanzanite; and a ruby with diamonds in 22 kt from Indiia.

What a great thread! So much fun having all this great colored stone eyecandy in one place!
Here are a few I haven''t posted before...I think. These are rings I''ve had for years, in my "yellow gold period", long before I discovered jewelry forums and paid attention to stats.. Here''s an aquamarine...from the side it looks like the S.S. Enterprise!

And here's a recent project: It's a pinky ring. I already had the old deco mounting. Michael E cut the stone, and adapted the ring to accommodate it. It's a 1.33ct aquamarine, "modified barion cut" which turned out great. The aqua is much livelier and more sparkly than I ever expected..

widget,
I love the aquamarine ring and the black opal ring. I have loved opals forever. My grandmother who gives me great peices as you well know gave me a 12 carat aquamarine ring flanked with diamonds going down the sides. I have little hands, think of a kindergartner, so I will give it to my daughter who has long lovely fingers and is way taller than me. |

Thanks for the welcome Widget! It''s not my e-ring - my husband and I picked out the loose stone at a private shop in the USVI last year. We were having difficulty finding a quality emerald we liked (at a good price here in the states). The diamonds were sent here about 6 months later by the same shop and were set in the US. Aside from the wider-than-usual spaces between the stones, it''s perfect in my eyes. BTW, I love this thread - lots of yummies to see!
