Sorry for the late response. The stone is from Rick. The stats are:
2.23 ct
6.9 x 8.7 x 5.0 mm
It is precision cut, and in person the cut is very nice. I had been looking for a light pink or lavender spinel for a while, and this fit the bill perfectly. I was going to take a gemstone break due to Lent, so I bought this and another stone, thinking they would be final purchases for a while. Now that I'm back, I am finding that I only want a chrysoberyl...or maybe nothing more ever.

I'm mostly a diamond person at this point in my life, but both my stones are out being set so I'm wearing this ring and really appreciating it.
Just before I joined PS, I found this sapphire ring in an estate sale. Since I only paid a little for it, I assumed it wasn't great quality. Later I discovered that it was a James Allen ring and that I had lucked out.
I'm mostly a diamond person at this point in my life, but both my stones are out being set so I'm wearing this ring and really appreciating it.

Thanks for sharing the info. I've peeked at ArtCut but had not seen any updates so it's good to know he's still kicking in the gem business...and I'm not sorry you've been bitten by the chrysoberyl bug.

So I was thinking of the three stone pastel ring. I have a chrysoberyl that will sit perfectly in the center, but it's currently in another setting. Therefore, I put in another chrysoberyl to show he color combination. Debating doing this ring. I ordered it in silver, to see if the stones will fit. I will probably reorder it in gold.

TL, can you post a pic of the Chryso that will be going in the middle?
And if that one is already set, does that mean it's current setting will be getting something else?

Here's a 4mm tsavorite which is diamond cut. It's packs a punch of color for its size, and this is the art deco setting I want to set it in. It's just sitting on top of the ring for now. I can't get the right color of this stone on my camera. It's super saturated, and has a lot of blue and looks metallic. It's a neat stone.

Finally going to set my Burmese spinel from Jeff Davies. It's going to be delicious It'll be a simple yellow gold half bezel and probably a satin finish.

Two things make me hesitate to say "yes".
1. Different facet pattern
2. Your chrysoberyl looks incredible in its current setting and it feels a shame to have to remove it.

Here's another project. I have some old stones I need to set. Which one looks best in here. I'm kind of not liking the spess in there although its a nice stone, but I thought I'd show it in there for the sake of it.
Top - lavender spinel
Middle - Bob Kast aqua (it is deep blue even though it's only about 6mm)
Bottom - spessartite garnet.

I sent my trillion sapphire to be recut by Jerry. It should be on it's way back to me soon. So excited!
He sent me these pics, I think the stone looks less saturated because of how bright it is, but I'm excited to see it!
