Freke - as always your collection is so drool-worthy. The new addition is just stunning too!! What happened to your round blue sapphire solitaire? Is it just missing from the photo or did you two part ways?

It's still here, but I sold off the setting, so it's loose. I'm playing with the idea of setting it as a necklace, and keeping my big blue spinel for a ring. It seems silly to have two bigger blue stone rings, you know? So right now, leaning towards a blue sapphire necklace and a blue spinel ring, but we'll see. So both of them are loose now.

Here is the sapphire playing with my earrings the other day, just for fun! And thank you PB!

So sort of bordering on colored stone, but I just bought a Q-R colored 6mm OEC, waiting for it to arrive but I'm hoping it can go in my old VC setting, and I can trot that out as a RHR or alternative ering when I'm feeling vintage or just want a little less bling than my 5 stone band ring.

My 1.26ct light brown diamond pendant with some yellow diamond pears I purchased from a jewelry fair a couple years ago.
The colour of the light brown diamond seems to change under different lighting / surrounding colour.

I've come to the conclusion that I will likely not wear it and will likely be putting this stone on on the auction block at some point. Everyone knows I won't get rid of Big Blue, so what would I do with 2 very similar in color and size round stones?

Yes, the rope is 18k rose gold while the rest are 14k white gold.

It is beautiful lavender (day) to pink (night) color shifter. I tried to take pics and they are all crappy. Here's are two that show the color shift. The first shows a tilt window... oops. It's my first light colored spinel and I am enjoying the scintillation. It's also over 2 carats, so the size is nice.

I am going to put it in a platinum with some small diamond accents, or a three stone. The color is so feminine and delicate that I think it is asking for some filigree or some other pretty details.

Oh yeah it is the amazing pink sapphire from Gene's latest. The tiny inclusion that made it so affordable is really hardly noticeable.
and it matches the stitches I had removed today perfectly!

I agree completely! The colors that it shifts between are soooooooo pretty - my favorite shades of lavender & pink!
