Can a setting change the "shape" of your stone?

If I have a round stone, can I set it to look more square? If so how? Thanks!!

Yup!
You can do a square halo or dover style fishtail setting...

more prominent prongs in the 4 corners can make it look more square- the antique style prongs... I am blanking on the name

Setting an oval EastWest almost automatically makes it seem less round.
