Are these rubies from Thailand?

I have just aquired this 6.6 carat stone and was wonering if it might be from thailand. Sorry the pics not the greatest. I was also thinking about having it recut.

It''s got the look of an African, but it''s tough to tell from a photo.

I think you could probably safely rule out Burma, Vietnam and Sri Lanka. You''re probably talking African, Thai, Cambodian or Madagascar.
