America Gem Society

or perhaps America's Gem Society - I don't mean AGS - I have an internet acquaintance who tells me he has become a member (it evidently cost a fair amount of $$$ to become one), and he will then be able to 'sell gems'. My suspicious mind tells me this is a somewhat less than straight up organization. Anyone ever heard of these folks? I couldn't find a website for America or America's - I did get hits for American.

I have not heard of anything else other than the actual AGS.

I searched for it and even went to other sites in the hopes that it had come up as a topic of discussion, but nothing. That said, as you likely know, there is a ton of information about gem investment groups as scams - that is everywhere. These groups pop up every so often, and the one common theme is that they dissolve in lawsuits and individual "investors" who wish they had walked away at the outset.
