Looking at the pages of Palagems, I stumbled across this beauty... 1.24 carat, eye clean Bixbite from Utah. The photo is old, maybe you have already seen it. But a great rarity.
That is a gorgeous stone! Though, to be honest, were I presented with this stone, I would probably assume that it was a top quality rubellite (not that I would scoff at top quality rubellite).
In any event, it's a great cruelty by mother nature that she made red beryl in such limited quanity.
