The retail value can be anything depending on who’s selling it and what one is willing to pay. I agree that the stone is darkish but considering that it is nearly 4 carats and unheated, the platinum setting and good quality melee diamonds, it’s a fair price. The last I recall, SP has a good return policy so it's probably worth seeing it in person to make your final decision.

Will agree with Ed & Chrono on this. Worth is what someone will pay for a piece. Now that said, it is platinum, you're getting lovely diamonds, and you're getting a papered center stone.

Ask them to see the GIA Cert on the stone. I certainly can't hurt.
