*~Sweetpea~* I think you should wear whatever dress you want! I looked at the dress, and I don''t think it looks too gold in the pics, but I think you would probably like to look at it in person first to see for yourself if it IS too gold to your liking and all. But from the pictures, I don''t think it looks too gold...if you like it - then that is what counts...remember - your wedding is YOUR day! Maybe you are the type of person who likes to be a little different then the ''usual bride'', and if you have the figure ( which I don''t ) for this dress and love how it looks on you, then I say, go for it This dress is very pretty...love the skirt part and all the detail!!! Just my 2cents..hope it helps :} Wifey2b :} |

I was thinking how some brides go with blush or even ice blue tint to the dress, so gold isn''t too far away from white : ) I just want to look bride-like but I do like to be different and stand out. I haven''t tried on the dress yet, but I love halters. I hope it looks good when I try it on!!

I think it looks great in goldy (love the word, btw)! I also think it really depends on your skin tone. Ivory usually doesn''t look dingy white if it''s on the right skin tone. I think on pink tinged people it may look dingy. But on an olive skin tone, it would look lovely. Sweetpea, what is your skin tone?

I''m kind of pale, but olive if that makes sense haha. I tan really well though, so I anticipate tanning before the wedding (even though otherwise I avoid the sun) |

I''m pale and olive too!
That being said, I love ivory and champagne colors on my skin. I recently tried on a "light gold" dress and it was gorgeous. Sitting next to the other white dresses, it looked darker, but by itself you could hardly tell it was light gold. I also tried on a stunning pale blue Romona Keveza gown and when I walked out into the daylight, I could barely tell it was blue. I think gowns with a hint of color are beautiful.

*~Sweetpea~* got a ? 4 u...was wondering what you have thot for your wedding setting? Just thinkin...and just my 2cents worth...but does any one else think that that dress would just shimmer in a candellight ceremony? Just a picture that popped in my head when I saw the dress...giggle I say...it is your wedding and one wants to look the best so in order to look your best, you have to be you :} Something that I am afraid I am just learning late in life...but it is wonderful :} Wifey2b :} |

It looks like a candle light or champagne tone. If you love it and it looks good on your skin, why not? It is just as appropriate and probably richer looking than stark white. I have found few people who look really in stark white anyway! It is really pretty in the photos, but I am sure in real life you would have a better sense of the color.

wifey2be--I am totally about the candlelight haha--I''m going for dim lighting (like nice restaurant at night type) and candles on each table--I would love to sparkle all night long, how cool would that be??? I admit, I do like attention so that''d be fun, as long as it''s not too all over out of control blindingly sparkly!
