DIY'ers: floralytes vs LED keychains??

Florists seem to use these things called http://www.save-on-crafts.com/floralytes4.html to light up centerpieces. But how are they different from these LED http://www.dealextreme.com/p/white-flashlight-keychain-22000mcd-10-pack-1100? Except that the floralytes are 3-4x the cost?

I don't plan on using them in water. Just suspended inside a paper lantern.

We are doing the same thing, trying to light paper lanterns. So far, my solution is to use 3 of the floralytes. (?) But I can see that's going
to get expensive. There is a tutorial on YOuTube that shows how to make the lights for very little. But it seems very labor intensive.
And it scares me the lights will fail. I've done a trial run on the lights from Save on Crafts and they lasted 2 days! Not sure exactly which little light I ordered but I think there were 3 in a pack. I've got to address this next week and figure out what to order. I will check out your LED keychains? One thing though, the LED might be too bright - dunno.

Possibly too bright, but so much cheaper! I wish there was more info on the floralytes -- e.g., lumens or something like that, but the mfg doesn't have a website. Bah.
