Yay for first spin! I am also a spinner :bigsmile: and all I can say is whats already been said - your butt will toughen up!

I am down 35.5
....which is the most Ive been down despite being up/down/up etc the last week. I was at this weight sometime last week and here I am again. Hopefully I keep going down tomorrow since Ive gotta go try on wedding gowns with pandabee and shes a skinny mini and Im a moo-moo!


Just pigged out on pasta - only real meal (does a 5pt smart ones count as a meal? no) today. feel like I have a brick in my belly.

Awesome start TP!

My weigh in didn't go as well as I'd like. Yesterday's food was completely out of our control. We were out of town for our Godson's first birthday party. We were as good as we could be, even avoided the cake! - but it still wasn't what we would have eaten if we were at home.

I lost 0.4 lbs this week. I guess it's better than nothing, or worse, a gain, but I'm still not thrilled with it. I'm trying not to let it get me down and just keep moving forward and try harder this week.

well i have gained 3 pounds, :( I'm hoping that my efforts will give me a decrease in weight soon... or I may just give up...

Keep it up! You're doing awesome! The first few weeks of buckling down are always the hardest for me. Keep pushing through!

So I'm feeling completely overwhelmed... I've been working out (spinning class and a water boot camp) and I'm gaining weight like crazy!!! I will admit that my eating habits could be better, but they aren't that bad (I don't eat fast food at all) and I eat veggies and fruit.... I'm trying like crazy to cut the sugar (it's harder than I thought). I'm just mad at myself as a few years ago I lost 50 pounds, and now I've put 30 pounds back on... I need to make a promise to myself that when I get back from vacation that it's the gym 4-5 times a week for at least 1.5 hours!!! I know I can do it...

You can do it!

I know it is a pain to start with, but once you get some practice it isn't bad.... Spark People has a nutrition counter. I don't use it every day, but more of a check on what I'm eating and a way to get back on track. They customize your goal ranges of calories, fat, carbs, and protein based on age, height, weight, and activity level. They've got options also for people with blood pressure issues, diabetes, and other things.

You might take a look at it and try it for a few days. I thought I was eating pretty healthy and then realized that my diet was reasonably balanced but was .... larger than it should be.

I've been so not-good about losing weight recently. I'm not gaining - just hanging out jumping and dropping the same 1.5lbs. I was down 36.9 as of this morning but who knows with what I've eaten today (not bad so far but I'll prob drink tonight).

Im about to drop into a new decade which WOULD sound thrilling but Ive been hanging out near it for two weeks. And when I go under it, I feel pretty sure I will go OVER it again.

Ugh...so I can commiserate on the weight issues. I hope it gets better ILoveSpinel.

Agreed. It can be so tough.

I'm so close that it's killing me but I'm pretty sure this week isn't going to be it. I've been stuck at just above 160 for over a year. I always lose steam when it doesn't happen and then put 10lbs (or more) back on. I will not do this again. I'm so close and it is going to happen. Maybe not this week, maybe not even next week, but eventually I will break through and stay on the other side.

Just stay positive ladies!

I'm stuck at 194 right now. Trying to break out of that. Will have to watch my food a bit closer and be even more consistent with my exercise.

The wedding gown sale group that benefits cancer is coming to town the end of March. I really wanted to drop more weight before looking, but may have to go and see what I can find since the prices are right and it benefits a good cause.

Thanks TP! I'm stoked. FI broke under 225 too (224.8). His high was 269 and he hasn't been below 225 since high school. He's so ecstatic too!

As some of you know, I hit my 40# down mark this week, yay!
Im on day one of a three day fad diet. will report any success on tuesday :naughty:

I am currently between 15-23lbs from my goal. I would like to lose about ten more right now and then evaluate from there how much more I should try to lose.

Im a work in progress!

AFM - Week 8 Weigh In
GAIN. :nono: I'm up 1.4lbs.

Boo. Gained this week. I'm bummed. I guess I couldn't keep losing consistently every week, but still. We had one single meal out this week and ate right the rest of the time. Seriously. One meal out. I gained 1.4 lbs. I don't even know how that's possible. Still under 160, was 159 this morning.

This week isn't going to be better -- Andrew's Mom treated us to lunch out (at a place with little healthy options...). It was nice, but all I kept thinking was about how I already gained and didn't want to be eating out. And I have a work lunch thing this week on Wednesday for a goodbye (a guy I've been working with for nearly 7 years just got promoted, we're all going out to celebrate). He picked the place -- again, nothing super healthy. And next Saturday (the day before our regular weigh in) is our nephew's first birthday party. I don't know how I can do any better this week if last week ONE bad meal killed me.

Totally depressed today. Trying to push through and get past it.

Let us know how it worked and what diet it is. I'm always up to trying something new (within healthy limits!) if it helps.

Audball -- Don't get too discouraged. Bodies are strange. You can be up a pound one day and back down three the next. Just do the best you can to make healthy selections and watch portion sizes at your events.
Oh -- and congratulations to Mr. Audball too! Lowest since high school is great!

I feel sluggish and just ick today.

My back was injured in a car accident in 2004 and I never got it corrected. (combination of lousy doctor followed by loss of insurance :nono: ) I bent over in the vet's office to feel my dog's jaw and when I went to get up something just went wrong. So after several days of not being able to so much as dress myself or get out of the shower without assistance, I went to a chiropractor to see what is wrong. My spine has a bit of a bend to it where one disc is out of place and others are tilted instead of straight. I've spent the last almost two weeks seeing the chiropractor 3x/week, getting anti-inflammatory injections, and in general just not able to move much. After making some progress, he finally gave the okay for very moderate exercise bicycle (I can manage less than 1 mile on lite resistance before my back says I have to stop) and short walks (I can do 1/2 mile or less).
I haven't even dared to look at a scale :errrr: I've been being super careful about food but I know I'm up a bit ;(

I know that I have to take it slow and not push or I will do damage to my back. The dr is making good progress and I do feel improvement. It just sucks!
