Well, we know her dress wont look like this one.....but for it's time, it was high fashion....
 and got rave reviews as well as bad reviews...still causes a stir to this day!

  ETA: this is the OP's thread. It is not a thread that is asking for advice/input/criticism. It is simply a sharing of information about certain members of the royal family. If you don't like her/them, start your own thread. Saying it is a public forum is a moot point. |

For the nth time, I have nothing for or against the royal family. Had the OP not held herself out to be a "lifetime student of gemmology" and proceeded to perpetuate confusion on the theoretical level, I would not have bothered with this thread. I do not hold with dissemination of falsehoods, particularly in an area about which I am passionate.
If you are referring to Pandora's comments on the royal family, she is as entitled to express her opinion just as the OP is entitled to post pictures ad nauseum. ATW has a history of lively discussion. |

sorry , have been busy! Christmas is coming fast and i have found myself trying to get orders for jewelry done for people...fun but goodness! Anywho, I found this photograph that may be of interest, it is a sapphire ring that i have collaged in beside Diana's ring for reference to colour, this ring is a record setter according to the Natural Sapphire Company..here is what they say about it! 'A large Kashmir sapphire ring set a world record at auction on Thursday night, fetching nearly $3.5 million....' '“It is the most expensive sapphire ever sold at auction in the world. And it was sold at a time when the market is a bit patchy,” Francois Curiel, international director of Christie’s worldwide jewelry department, told Reuters. The previous world auction price was set by Christie’s in April 2007, when a Kashmir cushion-cut sapphire pendant of 22.66 carats sold for just over $3 million. That natural blue sapphire retains the record per carat of $135,000 against $80,000 for the latest one.' With Diana's ring now with Kate, it is receiving such coverage, I just thought it might be interesting to see it along side a record breaker! See what you think!

Just a quick pic for tonight, too busy! But I found this very interesting, I went onto google and went to find images, I typed in 'Most loved Princess', and this photo came up. It was in fact, the first photo that came up of any real life princess...not a cartoon I mean..

I found the cutest sapphire ring....it has such a cute look, and i guess i was just thinking about what we would be talking about around the world if maybe Wills had given this ring to Kate instead of Diana's.......????????????????
