We had the pleasure of meeting Mike Asscher of the Royal Asscher Diamond Company and Reena Ahluwalia, designer of Royal Asscher’s Shining Stars collection, which was launched at the show. “We are very excited to introduce new materials with our floating diamonds concept. African savannah, abstract leopard and cheetah prints became my inspiration source for Shining Stars collection. One of 2011’s hottest looks; we are seeing this exotic trend hugely influencing runways and street fashion. The new collection is versatile because patterns are so compatible and classic,” said Ahluwalia. Proceeds from Shining Stars sales will benefit the Diamond Empowerment Fund.
