“Bachelorette” Emily Maynard’s Dueling Neil Lane Engagement Rings

By Erika Winters

Emily Maynard became engaged to Jef Holm on last night’s finale of The Bachelorette. And, following Bachelor/ette tradition, a Neil Lane engagement ring was presented during the “final rose” ceremony. This time, the ring boasts a 2.5-carat emerald-cut diamond set in a pavé halo. Several sources have reported the ring is worth a whopping $150,000, making it the most expensive engagement ring to appear on the show. (Note: celebrity ring “values” are often wildly inflated.)

In March 2011 on The Bachelor, Brad Womack proposed to Ms. Maynard with a cushion-cut, split-shank halo, which according to People cost $50,000. The ring is described as totaling 3 carats, including a generous amount of pavé-set diamonds. The relationship ended a few months later, but ABC gave Maynard a second chance for love (and a new Neil Lane diamond engagement ring) on The Bachelorette season 8.

(Insert opening strains of “Dueling Banjos”) Which ring do you like better?
