Other Areas Of ExpertiseVery familiar with old diamond cuts since I am also a Jewelry Historian and member of the American Society of Jewelry Historians. Our GIA Alumni continuing education seminar by Gary Roskin brought us up to date on diamond treatments and the development of synthetic diamonds. We have had workshops on colored stone treatment by Dr. James Shigley, of GIA Gem Trade Lab.
