Master Stone SetI use two graded and registered master CZ sets with 10 stones in each.
Cut Evaluation ToolsI have an Ideal-Scope and use Gemology Tools Professional software in determining cut grade.
Cut Info in ReportI provide the stone's measurements, depth %, table %, girdle thickness and faceting, culet size, symmetry, polish, and cut grade on my Diamond Analysis page in addition to the color and clarity grades and plot
Other Areas Of ExpertiseI have attended numerous courses on antique jewelry, several of which included information on detecting reproductions. When in doubt, I consult the experts. Many of my gem courses have addressed treatments – old and new – of diamonds and colored stones. I keep as current and informed in these matters as trade publications, professional seminars, and Internet information allow.
Unique ServicesClients never leave their jewelry, as I perform grading, testing, and photographs while the client waits and watches. Clients see their stone's identifying inclusions under the microscope to allay their fears of stone switching when taking their jewelry for sizing or repairs.
Additionally, my husband is a bench jeweler (separate business) who is generally available for consultation/advice, cutting off rings that are too tight to remove, resizing gold or silver rings (no platinum), and similar
TurnaroundFor Insurance Replacement appraisals, generally 3 working days for market research and administrative details.   Clients can attend appraisal sessions

Services for Other BusinessesNo, I do not perform any work for retail jewelers nor "To Whom It May Concern" appraisals for gem merchants.
OpinionAppraising is a scientific process that requires both technical and research skills and applications for which the public pays a fee. Yet there are no specific licensing standards or registrations (beyond a business license) required by any State or Government office. Therefore, anyone can claim to be an appraiser – so it is the client''''s responsibility to determine whether the appraiser he/she chooses is a qualified professional. Pricescope is taking the lead again in assisting the public to do this.
